The old Quarantine station Sydney, ghost tour

This is a post from my old blog back from Oct 2009 It is actually spread out over 3 posts.
I don't think anyone reads this, but if you do sorry I have not been updating.

Old Sydney Quarantine station ghost tour

First up.. it was SO totally worth the money!!
The place is in a national park right down on the water, you have to park in a car park up the top and are taken down in a bus.

There was plenty of ambiance, as it was lightening and thundering all night.. yay for our luck!

My hubby and I went on the Spirit Investigator tour and it was great! There was quite a few people in our group which let it down a little as there were some jokers ( my hubby was not happy about that), but it's not like they can control who comes.

So we were going to have dinner at the restaurant like is recommended, got there and saw like the food starts from $7 for a side order of hot chips (fries)... so we went to the little cafe and had a cake a coffee for $6.

We got talking to one of the ladies behind the counter and found out that she was out tour guide/medium for the night. Nice lady.

Time came and we were directed into a little room where a little bit of our "training" took place and each little couple of us got an emf meter.

Then the tour took place!
We were guided around a few different places, each with out medium letting us know who was "around" at the time, and in a couple calling out for them to let themselves be known.. I have to say that the weather was totally against it all.

I don't want to go into to much detail about the tour routine and spoil it :)

Highlights of our night:

  • In the shower block there was a really strong smell of what they used to wash the people in when they first arrived.
  • I was a little but nervous when first walking in, but once in I was fine, I walked straight down the middle them turned left and went down that corridor until I walked through this horrible feeling... just in this one spot I felt really sick and almost like I was going to pass out, I wanted to sit down but had to move away, and when I did it was better.. it was almost like a pocket or something.. my legs were a little shaky for awhile after that... Our medium let the group know who was "in there with us", and I asked about that pocket and she said there was a man walking up and down that isle.
  • ps: In the shower block when I felt that sickness and dizziness, a girl right near us her camera went from 1/2 a battery to flat.. she was like "wtf?"... that was pretty cool.(not the feeling sick though)
  • In the Autoclaves, I thought I had a spider on one of my calves and kept brushing it away but it kept coming back... I couldn't not see anything, not sure what it was but mentioned it anyway.
  • When we went into the dining room I felt really happy... lol no idea..
  • Just outside the morgue I smelt this horrible horrible smell... but felt actually ok inside..
  • In the cottage I felt there was something in the rear right hand side room in the bath, I tried to get my hubby in quick enough to take a pic, but it had gone (the feeling).. later the medium said that there was a man(ghost) standing outside that room and moving in and out... maybe that was the man I felt there?? who knows we did get a picture of something from there though?
  • In the hospital I kept hearing "Nancy" over and over in my head... lol just my imagination I think
  • In the shower block I heard Albert, but the medium didn't pick up anything by that name till we got to the Asiatic section where she picked up that name then... prolly just a coincidence as I heard it in a different section.
  • In the hospital people down the back of the room where I was first drawn to when we entered, kept hearing someone breathing out, they said.
That's all I can remember for now, but if you are thinking of going.. GO! it was great!! We are totally going back again.
Here are some pics :)

This is a room in the shower block I had my hubby take a pick of, we later found out that it is known for having cold air rush out of it.. we did not feel anything.

A light spot on the wall in the cottage, my hubby kept feeling like someone was in there, I did too when we first arrived... is it a reflection a dust or an orb, you decide? :)

Same room

Not sure was this is... maybe just a reflection?

There are more pics Here and Here :)

Physic Fair adventure pT2 Meditation

hehe I still believe in balance. That whatever everything is made up of there is always the same amount, which means to get something, something must be taken, like scales I guess.. just in short balance. That's my opinion anyway ;)

As I think I have written elsewhere on my blog, I can't stop thinking, can never shut my damm brain down and have been thinking of maybe getting a book to learn to meditate, don't like my chances but have to try ;)
So when we read on the program that there would be a "meditation session", we hung around to see what it was like, maybe teach me a few things practically, while you can learn anything from a book it's still nice and easier to see it first hand and ask questions.

So here we are sitting in a little seminar room with only about 10 other people (it was late in the afternoon and most everyone else had gone home). We sat right down the back against what my husband wanted, I said I wanted to be near there door for a speedy getaway of I had to hehe

In walks this portly happy faced man, he was upbeat and well just seemed like a happy man.
He asked if everyone had had a good day to which we all said yeah yes and mmm, he said it felt great all the positive energy etc in the place which we all agreed to again.

He then asks us who would like something new in their lives to which of course we all said yes, I assumed he just meant like a new interest etc. I mean who doesn't?
He then says that he was going to try something different this afternoon and would we all like to try it, he called it "Manifestation meditation", which I took to mean " well will mediate in a way that will let you see a guide or spirit",haha I was wrong, he then said, "who knows the difference between goals and desires", which was went through, which you all know anyway, and he asked us do we all have a desire, which of course I do, to create a happy and healthy home and life for my family and friends, to do what I feel is right and always be honest.
Well he meant a desire of a different kind, he said you all must want something.
And that is when the alarm bells went off, I put up my hand when he paused for breath but he seemed to be in a hurry now, I was going to argue with him about balance, yin and yang, about how you have to take from something to give to something else. and well hell it's just bad karma to want selfish things from the universe.
But I didn't, I sat there with my eyes open while he was going through this spiel with everyone, I think I must have had a look of total disgust on my face, he prolly had no idea why.

As we were waling out he was in front and I made sure to say loud enough for him to hear
though directed at my husband, things like "you didn't wish for anything selfish did you" and "you shouldn't have done it, you know that you can't give to something without taking from somewhere else" and "you know how I believe in balance and that you shouldn't....".

I feel bad now for making the guy feel self conscience as I believe that he had good intentions, he just wanted to "do something nice for everyone", and maybe had no idea how bad it is.
I mean the majority of people a brought up, not just by parents but the whole world we live in, to believe that the main goal in life to to amass as much money and material possessions as you can because that makes you a better person, and that greed is good.
I bet all these people also go to church and know the seven deadly sins by heart.
Anyway, I'll be stopping the preaching here because I guess I am just done trying to teach and I hate long posts.

Physic Fair adventure pT 1 Mediums

This is back from June 2008. A cross post from my old blog again.
I have to add that I believe that a whole lot of mediums are for real, but I also belive that there are even more that are not and also that "think" they are, but are really just extra observant or sensitive, but in actual fact do not talk to spirits.

Our Sunday this weekend we decided to spend the day at a physic fair, you know mind spirit and body type thing. We actually heard about it from a link I am on the mailing list to, a medium who I thought was really good.

I am a firm believer in spirits, but also understand that not everything you see is a spirit but more likely left over energy from a bad death, anyway in short for this purpose I believe.

I like to also believe there are people that can talk to the spirits, I know I have dreams of people past that seem so real, and all the things I see, hear and smell. Smell is a big one, you can usually smell something first, if you can't all you will see is a quick flint by, but what I don't get is sometimes they are shadows and sometimes like sparks... anyway I guess that will be another story so I can keep this one short.. somewhat anyway hehe

Ok, I have been wanting to go to more of these shows because I don't understand what whoever it is, is trying to tell me through all the funny numbers and stuff I see, so I am interested, and I figure that if they can't get through to me with the numbers if I go to these things one might be able to get through to the medium to me to let me know wtf is going on. So I like going to these things...
I have been looking for a time when my husband would be able to take me and checking out each and every show, and one thing I noticed was that this same group of mediums was always showing together, which I thought nothing of, you know, just a group of like minded people showing their gifts together.

So Sunday we were able to go, it was a great event lots of shows and information, stalls also it was entertaining. However I am really starting to wonder about if what they do is real, I know spirits, the soul is, but can they really talk to them?

Why I changed?... well it is my belief that the spirit or "soul" is just a tiny part of a huge conscience all interlinked together, each time we are put on a different plane or "earth" we are put there to learn things about ourselves and others and to "grow" spiritually so we can step to the next level.
Two of the different mediums there on Sunday said things to the effect that the spirits didn't know everything, whereas I thought from reading lots of "return from death experiences", that you are shown the mysteries of the universe, you have a universal knowledge, that what which you are to learn each time you are sent to earth or where ever is to do with spirit, not knowledge.
Of course they said that when they returned to their bodies that all that they knew was lost, so they can't bring it back with them, but either way it was there and these mediums were saying it's not.
So who to believe, people that have been there and have stories that are too alike to discount, all from different religious backgrounds and beliefs, or someone that can so easily speak to the spirits?
And here is the 2nd questioning for me, It was easier to notice in so many mediums and shows the same day, but the people that the mediums picked seemed to be the same people, just different rooms and different mediums. I mean we could put that down to that they were just bossy ghosts that didn't say all they had to the first time and wanted another shot, I mean who knows, just because I question dosen't mean I do not believe, but I do question.

I think I might have to go to a few more but take proper notes this time and really concentrate.
