The Orange Flame, Orange apparition or Orange ghost

As I have said before, it's not unusual to see shadows of all kinds out of the corner of my eye, even while watching TV, I will also see coloured spots of blue, however last night was the scariest thing I have ever seen and even thinking about it before, trying to find out what it was not only scares the hell out of me but makes me cry a little... I know baby I am.

Short and sweet...

I was lying on the lounge watching TV, it was a hot night, and my kitty came up on the chair beside the lounge and was trying to crawl in under the blanket laid over the arm of the chair, I thought it was strange but just put it down to him playing... I mean it was a hot night, he never crawls under blankets on hot nights.

It was around 11.09 pm or just before that, directly to my left, in the corner of the room a big orange flame, I am talking as tall as the roof. It was not a little flicker but bright. It was also so clear, it was directly left of me, while it is peripheral, it is still very clear and noticeable.

I of course jumped up after a few seconds of shock, and turned on the light and was petrified. Started saying into the air like a crazy lady, " what did I do to make you scare me like this?", I wanted to call my husband at work and tell him about it , but was too scared to talk about it... petrified!

Has anyone else seen a big flame? Am I going bonkers? The only thing I can find so far googling was some "Virgin" seen outside a church by a papal committee and a whole town... There wouldn't be anything all big and religious visiting my little house!!

Mind you also, when I looked under the blanket to check on my kitty, as it was strange behaviour and to see if he noticed anything, he wasn't curled up asleep, he was just sitting there awake... strange...

I must be loosing it maybe?

EDIT: after telling my husband about it last night, I forgot to mention here that the TV started acting up also... like the signal was being lost.
